TERRY FATOR AND MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL TO HONOR THE PUBLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION
MGM Resorts International to Contribute $350,000 to PEF
Las Vegas, Nev. (July 7, 2010) --- Unparalleled ventriloquist Terry Fator has partnered with MGM Resorts International to pay tribute to The Public Education Foundation (PEF) with a special performance of Terry Fator: Ventriloquism in Concert Sunday, Aug. 1 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage. On behalf of Terry Fator and MGM Resorts International, all proceeds of the show along with a $350,000 contribution will be made to benefit PEF.

The Public Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that mobilizes global and community resources to support and impact public education through initiatives, programs and promising practices. All funding and donations received each year support public education in Southern Nevada. MGM Resorts International supports The Public Education Foundation through donations and employee volunteer projects, assisting the foundation’s programs and initiatives in improving student performance and educational opportunities.

MGM Resorts International has donated more than $1 million dollars to The Public Education Foundation. These monetary contributions have been applied to the foundation’s programs in an effort to strengthen the social and academic growth of students. Additionally, MGM Resorts International was one of the first local company’s to support the Empowerment School program, a model designed to improve learning and student performance through a collaborative partnership that includes students, parents, community members and school staff.
