Accessible Rooms

There are two types of handicap accessible rooms at The Mirage: Standard Accessible and Fully Accessible (with roll-in shower and "Handi-Move" electronic lift equipment for those in wheelchairs). Accessible rooms are not available for online booking. Call Room Reservations at 800-374-9000 to confirm availability.

Standard Accessible Rooms

Standard features in all accessible rooms include:

• Electronic drapery controls, heating and air conditioning control; electric switches and outlets are 29 inches from the floor for total wheelchair accessibility.
• Lowered peep holes in guestroom doors.
• Lowered closet rods.
• Fire alarm with light for hearing impaired.
• Touch floor lamps.
• Push button nightstand lamps.
• In-room refrigerator, upon request.
• Foam "egg crate" bedpads, upon request.
• Telephone with amplified headset, upon request.
• Door knock light, upon request.
• Vibrating alarm clock, upon request.

Standard bathroom features:

• Safety bar surrounding shower and commode.
• Lowered towel bars and amenity holders.
• Special height commode.
• Accessible sink with protected sleeves for hot water pipes.
• Accessible shower spray with extension.

Fully Accessible Rooms

Fully Accessible rooms have all the same features as the Standard Accessible Rooms, as well as the following features for those in wheelchairs:

• Handimover electronic bedroom lift enables a person to be transferred from a wheelchair to the bed with or without assistance from a companion. Bed is lowered to height of 22 inches above the floor. Maximum weight allowed is 300 pounds.
• Handimover electronic lifts in the bathroom enable a person to be transferred from a wheelchair to the commode or shower bench with or without the assistance of a companion. Maximum weight allowed is 300 pounds.
• Roll-in shower available with padded shower bench (2102, 2104 and 29014).
• Bathroom phones.
